Commentary
The highest-end model of Sansui's PB series, the integrated amplifier that is an upgraded
version of the AU-777D.
It was developed by accumulating thorough hearing tests with the aim of reproducing more
faithful sound.
The main amplifier part has adopted the complete direct connection system of a two-stage differential amplifier circuit, plus and minus two power supplies without an output capacitor. Thereby, the NFB becomes uniform from the ultra-high region to the ultra-low region, and
various characteristics are improved.
The equalizer stage has adopted the PNP silicon transistor with little noise in the 3-stage
EE NF type, and has obtained low noise, low distortion, wide dynamic range, and high stability.
The direct connection circuit is used as an amplifier circuit as much as possible, and the
mylar capacitor is used as much as possible for the necessary part of a coupling capacitor,
and the electrolytic capacitor which has a large phase distortion in a high region and
a poor transmission characteristic is banished.
The triple tone control original with Sansui is adopted as a tone control part, and not only
Bass and Treble but also Midrange can be adjusted.
The tone selector which can switch the defeet and the ascending / descending point to
two frequencies, and the click step type of the bass / treble 2dB and the middle tone 1dB
step which can be adjusted accurately are adopted respectively.
The pre-main part can be separated and used independently.
Two tape decks can be used at the same time and a Tape to Tape reprint switch is installed.
Moreover, the stereo balance check circuit, level adjuster, NF type low / high filter, tuner
selector, microphone input jack, muting switch, program indicator, headphone jack,
DIN connector, etc. are carried.
The wood case was sold separately.
