Commentary
A speaker system that has been improved based on the SL-700 to improve its perfection.
The 15cm cone type Woofer is carried in the low-pass.
This unit adopts a complete one-piece cone system without a dust cap, and the cone material is
a special scientific material based on Celestion's unique know-how. Moreover, the low-pass
response is expanded by the double suspension, and the traveling wave on a cone is cut at
an edge, and the performance of a Woofer is improved.
The 3.5cm dome shape tweeter is carried in the high region.
It is a self-cooling unit with a voice coil wound directly on a 3.5 cm diameter aluminum dome,
improving the growth of the high range.
The input terminal has adopted the biwiring system independent for HF and LF.
Moreover, the network part is designed to separate the low-pass / high-pass filter into
two completely independently at 3kHz. Furthermore, the laminated core which wound the
linear crystal copper wire around the square bobbin is used for a choke coil, and the
low-loss Solen capacitor is adopted as a capacitor.
The newly designed air loam cabinet is adopted as an enclosure.
This enclosure has a vertical 8-shaped honeycomb brace to stiffen the side plates
without increasing weight. This has eliminated the resonance and the knock-on effect of
a cabinet.
The crossover board, which is normally mounted on the back panel of a cabinet, is also
floating mounted to reduce resonance.
An integrated stand is included as part of the speaker configuration.
This stand is made of all aluminum and the centerpole uses a drawing material with
a special cross-sectional structure to prevent resonance. In addition, the inside of the pole
is filled with metal grains and fine stones, and aluminum cast is used for the base and top
plate.
For the coupling between the stand and 700SE, the improvement of the low range is realized
by adopting the three-point instruction by the conical pin. In addition, the stand can be firmly
fixed to the floor with four spikes.
There was a dedicated speaker grill as an option.
