explanation
A high-end preamplifier of the laboratory series that adopts a development method that
emphasizes a thorough sense of hearing, constructs a signal circuit with a completely different
transmission than before, and seeks the highest level of sound quality and functionality.
We went back to the starting point to review the problems of transistors, and after repeated
auditory tests, we completed our own current amplification circuit, the Gm processor, and installed
it in volume amplifiers.
This processor converts the signal voltage into current, amplifies it, converts it to voltage again,
and sends it out, and the gain changes only by the value of the resistor that determines the
conversion rate of the current ⇔ voltage, so the amplifier itself acts as a volume. Due to this,
it has little effect on the characteristics and sound quality of the amplifier.
In addition, since the noise level decreases in proportion to the throttling of the volume, it also
has features such as an excellent signal-to-noise ratio in actual use.
The equalizer circuit is also equipped with a Gm processor, making it a current-type equalizer
that is different from the conventional NF and CR types. For this reason, the equalizer curve
is simply determined by the constant of the CR element that serves as the load, so the RIAA
deviation is flat up to 100 kHz.
In addition, the dynamic range of the high frequency range is the same as that of the NF type,
and the flat current amplification amplifier provides the same transmission and dynamic
characteristics as the CR type.
The Phono1 is an MM/MC high-gain equalizer that switches the conversion rate of the
Gm processor, and the Phono2 has an MC head amplifier in the front.
The circuit elements are also carefully selected after listening and comparing with
special consideration.
It is designed with an emphasis on high reliability and sound quality from parts to board
patterns, including nitrogen-filled high-reliability relays, high-stability metal-coated resistors,
silver-foil-clad contact switches, plain foil (unetched) large electrolytic capacitors, low-noise
Zener diodes, and high-speed diodes.
Functions such as tone control, recording selector, and cartridge switching are installed in
the sealing pocket.
It is equipped with a direct switch, and when turned on, the tone amplifier, mode switch,
and subsonic filter are defended, and the output is directly connected as a volume amplifier.
The cabinet has a natural wood finish in rose tones and has a mirror paint that resembles a piano.
Normally, a piano is painted in about 16 steps, but the P-L10 is carefully painted in 21 steps.
