explanation
Stereo power amplifier using 6336A vacuum tubes.
The output tube is the bi-triode 6336A used in the MQ36 OTL amplifier.
The MQ80 uses this 6336A to form a push-pull circuit with one per channel, and obtains an
output of 40W with an 8Ω load.
The output transformer is similar in appearance to the conventional OY15 model, but in order
to achieve the effect of cross-shunt and push-pull operation, the primary winding is divided into
the plate side and the cathode side, and a method of bifila winding is adopted.
By this method, it is possible to suppress low distortion up to large output. In addition,
the high-frequency frequency response of the output transformer extends to 200 kHz and
the phase characteristics are extremely excellent, so that the naked characteristics of the
amplifier are improved and at the same time the stability when negative feedback is applied.
The cross-shunt push-pull output stage requires a large drive voltage due to 50% of the
output voltage returning as negative feedback, and the low rp and high Gm of the 6336A.
Therefore, the drive stage uses a powerful bi-triode 12BH7A with large plate loss, and
a cathode follower direct connection circuit is configured to create a powerful drive circuit.
In addition, a bitriode 6AQ8 is used for the phase reversal stage to form a cathode coupling
circuit, and a pentode 6267 is used for the first stage to increase gain.
