Commentary
A cassette deck that was born by inheriting the design concept of TC-K555ESR.
The midship drive system is adopted, the mechanical deck and the power supply part are
arranged in the center, and the control system and the audio circuit are arranged separately
on both the left and right sides, so that almost equal weight is applied to four legs. Achieves
weight balance. Moreover, the rigidity is further improved by adopting the inner chassis which
divides the inside into three equal parts, and the mutual interference between each block is
eliminated.
The tape is sandwiched between two sets of capstans arranged around the head and a pinch
roller, and the closed loop dual capstan system which stabilizes a tape run is adopted. This
has the advantage such as reduction of modulation noise.
Moreover, the direct drive by a three-phase linear torque BSL motor is adopted as a capstan
drive, and the excellent characteristic and the accurate tape speed are obtained by adopting
a quartz lock servo.
The super bias which shifts up a bias frequency significantly is adopted, and the beat noise
and the cross modulation distortion are reduced by expanding the frequency difference with
a music signal, and the resolution of a high region is improved.
The accurate azimuth accuracy of each of a sound-recording head and a play head is obtained,
and the independent suspension 3 head system original with Sony which enables a more
uniform head touch is adopted. Furthermore, the laser amorphous head by LC-OFC winding
is adopted as a head.
The sound-recording amplifier and the reproduction amplifier are put together on an
independent board, and the mutual interference is suppressed by arranging them in the upper
and lower two stages. Furthermore, the interference between channels is also prevented
by making it a full-stage L / R twin mono DC amplifier configuration.
The bias calibration which can fine-tune the bias value at the time of a sound-recording in
the range of ± 20%, and the recording level calibration are carried.
The wide-range peak program meter which further improved the visibility by displaying the
peak hold and the peak value in real time at the same time is carried.
The linear electronic counter with a subtraction function is carried.
Equipped with Dolby NR / BC type.
The memory stop / play function is carried.
The auto tape selector of Type I / II / IV is carried.
The Rec Mute function with an auto space is carried.
The tape slack prevention mechanism at the time of cassette loading is carried.
Continuous absence recording and alarm clock playback are possible with an optional
timer.
The gold-plated headphone terminal with a volume is carried.
Comes with side wood.
The soft eject is adopted.
