A record player with a torque-up motor and a highly sensitive arm for a more complete
experience.
By adopting a DC servo motor with improved rotational torque, uneven rotation is suppressed
and stability is improved.
The turntable is also made of die-cast aluminum with a precision-machined finish that is
fully balanced.
The rubber sheet used in the turntable is a heavy type weighing 320 g, which absorbs
resonance due to rotation and resonance between the record groove and the needle tip.
The speed selector switch is electronic using a microswitch, and 33 or 45 revolutions
can
be selected.
In addition, the speed adjustment can be fine-tuned in the range of 33 and 45 rpm ±6%,
respectively.
The tonearm uses a statically balanced tonearm with the same structure as the MA-202,
and uses a unique angular bearing for the vertical bearing and a radial bearing for the
horizontal bearing to achieve an initial vertical sensitivity of 5 mg or less and an initial horizontal sensitivity of 10 mg or less. It is also equipped with a unique needle-pressure-compatible
variable inside force store that applies needle pressure evenly to the left and right to
increase cartridge tracing ability.
The headshell uses H-303, a die-cast aluminum headshell with little resonance, and
the connector is gold-plated to prevent poor contact due to aging.
The needle pressure adjustment adopts a single point direct reading type up to 0~3g,
and cartridges with a dead weight of up to 19g can be used by attaching a subweight
(sold separately) to the rear.
The arm lifter uses an oil dump type that makes contact with the record surface smooth.
The cabinet is a slim type with new bar countermeasures and is also equipped with
feedback countermeasures.
The output code is a low-capacity type of 50 pF/m, and it also supports 4-channel
playback.
The specified speed can be checked with strobes and neon lamps engraved on the
outer circumference of the turntable.
