explanation
A three-head stereo cassette deck with a closed-loop dual-capstan system.
The mechanism adopts a closed-loop dual-capstan drive system, which ensures that constant
tension is always applied before and after the tape head touch, resulting in stable running
performance.
In addition to the leaf spring method, compression coil springs and special elastic rubber are
used to eliminate the effects of internal and external vibrations, and when the cassette holder
is closed, the cassette halves are wrapped around the left and right ends to firmly fix them,
absorbing vibrations and stabilizing tape running.
The head is made of PC-OCC (single crystal high-purity oxygen-free copper), which is effective
in reducing transmission loss, and minimizes high-frequency attenuation and transmission loss
of the original signal.
Independent motors are used for the capstan, reel drive, and head actuator/mechanical assist
to achieve a smooth and quiet mechanism.
By setting the bias frequency to 210 kHz, which is twice that of conventional methods, beat
distortion is eliminated and excellent high-frequency reproduction is achieved.
It is equipped with an autobias function that records two types of signal levels, 400 Hz and
10 kHz, with 16 different changes, and detects the appropriate bias according to each output level.
In addition, it is equipped with a bias preset memory so that you do not have to set the autobias
again when re-recording with the same tape or using the exact same type of tape.
The preset memory is recorded in METAL, CrO2, and Normal.
The mechanism, signal, and display systems are divided into three parts to prevent mutual
interference and wrapping from the power supply part.
In addition, mutual interference is suppressed by using a pure signal ground line structure that
concentrates all motion standards on the ground part of the line-out, which serves as the
operating reference point.
It is equipped with DPSS with improved operability on the three-head deck, and can be operated
such as front and rear head-out and dash & play.
It also has an index scan function that allows you to play back the beginning of a recorded song
for about 10 seconds and monitor it one after another.
It is equipped with a repeat A-B playback function that repeats between two favorite points
(about 18 seconds or more between songs is required) using counter information.
Equipped with a CD peak search and synchronization function, when you connect to a
CD player or LD player with the XS mark of Kenwood and press the CD peak search key,
the CD automatically detects the point of large-signal recording, and the recording level is set
to the optimal value accordingly to complete the recording.
In addition, you can perform basic operations of the KX-7030 with the system remote control of
the AV amplifier marked XR and XS.
It is equipped with a display mode that can be switched between all lights and only the
counter lighting.
The peak meter adopts a 17-point peak level meter, which can display -30dB~+12dB.
