Commentary
This tube type preamplifier kit was announced simultaneously with the launch of the LUX KIT brand.
The equalizer circuit is similar to the circuit used in the C-22 Macintosh, and consists of a
combination of a P-K / NF circuit (feedback from the second stage plate to the first stage cathode)
and a cathode follower circuit.
An orthodox circuit is used to adjust sound quality.
The low-cut filter is CR1-stage type, the high-cut filter is NF-type, and the tone control is
Lux-type NF-type with less waviness at the mid-point. The tone control can be adjusted
more precisely because the bending point frequency can be switched.

Commentary
A typical tube type main amplifier kit of LUX KIT.
The output transformer adopts OY15 type which is used for SQ38FD and MQ60, etc., and an
output of 40W is obtained by push-pull type ultra linear connection using 6CA7 for the output
tube.
In addition, 6L6GC and 50CA10 are designed to be used for the output tube with only slight
modification.
A cathode coupled circuit called a leak Mulard type is used for the driver circuit (phase inversion
circuit).
This circuit has the advantage of high gain, but it has the disadvantage of unbalanced gain
between upper and lower gain. The A3500 uses 6AQ8, which has high amplification, so that the
unbalanced gain can be ignored even if the plate resistance is the same between upper and
lower.
The A3500 has improved bare characteristics throughout the amplifier, ensuring excellent
characteristics without applying negative feedback of strength.
A unique MLF circuit (multiple loop feedback circuit) is used for the negative feedback circuit to
keep distortion low over the entire audible band and to maintain stability against
load fluctuations.
The power supply section uses a power transformer with sufficient space to accommodate various
output tubes, and the choke coil used to remove the ripple that causes the hum component is
designed for A3500.
The A3500 is designed to take out the power supply for the preamp. When combined with the
preamp kit A3300, it can be supplied by the connector cord.
Hood is included.
50CA10 / CR tube and kit were sold separately.
